Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania, was selected by the Lithuanian people as having the prettiest Christmas tree. Nick named the "emerald," the tree was constructed by: Jolanta Šmidtienė out of 50,000 green bottles. The tree has received lots of international media attention and may be placed in the Guinness World Records!

A traditional Lithuanian Christmas tree is on display at the Girardville Historical Society in northeastern PA. The tree was designed and decorated by K of L C-144 members Elaine Luschas and Carol Luschas. Handmade ornaments in various geometric shapes and sizes adorned the tree.
